NCA-S EAO Peace Process Steering Team Meeting (08/ 2020) successfully ended on 18 January though the Meeting was scheduled from 17 to 19 January before being held.

It is an honor to thanks to all leaders and representatives on matters of discussion relating to peace process, stages of work plans and sound planning in this meeting.

Moreover, it is a cordial welcome to Mr. Xi Jinping; the President of the People’s Republic of China on a friendship visit to Myanmar during in this PPST Meeting, hoping a friendship visit would produce beneficial for both countries.

Reviewed of the current peace process in this meeting was a tremendous helps for setting a prospective plans.

This meeting set a specific guidelines and policies for the forthcoming dialogue on Military issues i.e. Military-to-Military meeting and dialogue between both Government’s negotiators and NCA-S EAO’s Working Group.

As agreed on Federal principles, the three stages of federal building factors were discussed in details.  And we also discussed issues to be included into a part of Union Accord – III.  

Setting of a work plans relating to the five thematic areas as political, security, economics, social, and land and natural environment strengthened the peace process.

This meeting agreed program to be prepared for convening National Dialogue in accordance with newly amended Framework for Political Dialogue by all ethnics without fail. 

Setting up approaches to practical implementation on “All-inclusive” as we always debate brought back good news to the peace process. 

The Working Group is required to follows guideline and rights within the frame set by PPST.  Negotiation is what the differences come up with commonness then implements together. For the Working Group, if this applied with you i.e. patient, capabilities, fairness, impartiality and compromised when necessary will result successful achievement.

Let me conclude my closing speech by saying that although we are prioritizing the Fourth Session of 21st Century Panglong Conference as a short term plan, setting of a long-term plan in this meeting comes to an end with honored.
